( That sounds somewhat ominous, but in a way makes sense. There have been little things here and there, but nothing major enough to throw up all the red flags. )
( okay, king of multitasking. typing while working out? amazing. )
but don't meet me here at the gym because it smells let's go sit by the lake it's kinda nice
( and that's where luffy will eventually find zoro, stretched out in the grass and leaning back on his hands, looking into the water like if he stares hard enough, it'll turn into the east blue. )
( Or so Luffy hopes, even he knows Zoro has a tendency to get lost in the easiest of places, and as he heads to the lake there's the small hope that the swordsman has found his way. A hope that is easily soothed upon spotting a familiar head of green hair. )
Zoro! ( The pirate captain is as graceful as a drunken spot-billed duck as he runs over, throwing himself down to his knees to wrap both arms around Zoro from behind. Luffy wastes no time in patting Zoro's chest and shoulders and giving a nod to himself before sneaking in one last hug. )
( zoro only has a moment to turn his head and catch a glimpse of luffy before he's bearing the brunt of his weight with a grunt, arms flung tightly around him, and — hands that press against his pecs, squeeze his shoulders. if his face is a little warm — shut the fuck up, it's just sunny and hot as fuck outside, okay?
he reaches up to grab luffy's wrists, intent on keeping his captain hugging him for maybe just a few second longer, if he'll let him. maybe zoro's just gotten sappy after a long time away, but — it's still crazy to think that luffy's here, and holding onto him keeps him tangible. )
Good. ( a grin creeps onto zoro's face as he turns his head to look at luffy. ) Figured I'd better not waste my time here and make sure I'm even stronger for when we get back home.
